That's what I always say, but apparently it's equal to arrogance or self-righteousness in the eyes of some. Or vanity! Sometimes it feels likes you can hardly breathe without offending some people.

( and that is probably fairly reasonable to assume as a baseline for Morrigan's irritation, she suspects. Alistair breathing and existing around her always seemed to sour the witch's moods, but then the sun shining too brightly or the grass being too green would likely upset her similarly. )

It is strange, certainly. Cassandra said something about my serving as the Left Hand alongside her in the future, and even that I become the Divine. It seems so impossible, and yet I can hardly imagine the Hero of Orlais making jokes on such matters. I am content to listen to their stories and be their friend, and beyond that I suppose I can only have faith.
