sara has to read over the message at least twice as she tries to understand a.) why rip decided to message her of all people for a casual exploratory jaunt through some ruins considering the shaky grounds the two of them are on right now and maybe possibly forever and, perhaps more importantly, b.) if rip is oblivious to the city's rumor mill or if he's being purposefully vague on that front. it's kind of baffling — the first is a little more easily dismissed, and she lingers on the second thought for a little too long which makes her kind of mad at herself. )
