( there are certainly a lot of questions sara has when it comes to steve, especially after their run-in during the earthquake, but none of them would entail an answer that would sway or alter her opinions about him, she doesn't think. he's genuine in a way that sara can hardly fathom; her questions only come out of an actual desire to learn about him, learn about his past, learn about who he is now.
there will certainly be time for those questions, now. there's things about herself that she would, under normal circumstances, hesitate to tell someone; with steve, she thinks that she might just be able to tell him about the worst parts of herself, about her past, and he wouldn't judge her. it's a strange sort of optimism about a person that sara hasn't felt in a very long time. )
I'll be the judge of that, ( she says with a breath of laughter. ) Guess I'll see you then, Captain America.
[ He's been smiling since he called her. He hasn't lost that smile. He feels like a teenager all over again. Clumsy. Foolish with his words. At a loss at how to speak to a woman as beautiful as Sara. But they're going on a date. They're going bowling. That's something. ]
