it's one thing to surprise sara lance and her nerve of steel; it's another thing entirely to surprise her to the extent that she nearly drops her phone. not because of what he's been thinking about, but because she's been thinking about it, too, for longer than she'd ever care to admit. it may have taken over a year of her life, two wish-fulfillment cities, and time-traveling adventures in between, but sara lance is finally gonna get this wish, damnit. )

The selfish part of me says right now The logical part of me says in a few hours so you have time to go do said shopping and pick up some lasagna and breadsticks to-go from Bruschetta.
( sara does, in fact, give him a few hours. maybe a few more than she'd willingly wait, but a little anticipation never hurt anybody — it simply heightens the buzzing sort of excitement sara feels, like she can't sit still in her own damn apartment.
by the time she marches up to leonard's loft in her usual pair of combat boots — though what lies beneath are a pair of lacy thigh-highs whose garters are barely concealed by the simple black t-shirt dress she wears over them — she's pretty worked up, turning the doorknob and walking right in like she lives there. his apartment's pretty big, considering it used to be part of a warehouse space, so she can't decide if she smells bruschetta or if it's just her mind playing tricks on her.
a bag dropped on the floor without care, she walks further inside, footsteps echoing, and she announces her presence with a short, ) Len?
