P-Diddy? Well, he's a rapper.
( and there's a pause before she sends another text, foreseeing an inevitable followup question: )
Like... a musician. But with more spoken words. Like a poet? With music? Kind of?
( oh god, she's horrible at explaining this stuff. )
Rappers are kind of notorious for having a shitload of money and possessions and maybe most importantly, women. So I guess maybe feeling like P-Diddy would feel like living like a rich famous dude surrounded by a lot of hot chicks and loving life, or something like that. It actually sounds pretty ideal.
( man it's really unfortunate that sara lance was too busy being a goddamn assassin during The Rise of Ke$ha™️ and is fairly oblivious to contemporary pop music in general... she'd love her. )
A sort of minstrel, then. There are some whose lyrics far exceed their musical composition, it seems a little like that.
( and there is a moment of pause as she considers. )
So a woman to say she feels like P-Diddy would be going rather against expectations, then? (And I think it is also worth noting that attractive women being referred to as something which could be sold at a marketplace food stall is both... perplexing and entertaining.)
It's an interesting lyric, in any case. The singing leaves something to be desired, admittedly, and I can't understand a good number of the turns of phrase, but she's very energetic.

( a minstrel. right. sara laughs at that without a doubt. )
Yeah, it pretty much sounds like this girl is really going against the grain. I can respect that regardless of vocals, I guess.
Are you just hanging out right now, listening to music? I'm admittedly pretty behind on anything recent in terms of pop culture — I've been pretty preoccupied back at home.

( excuse you, don't laugh at Leliana's profession tyvm )
I must confess I am perhaps a little more critical. Alas, my profession does sometimes incline itself to being a little bit snobby.
And that I am. I have Schmooples, a collection of vinyl records, probably more donuts than is sound for my health and wine. It's a hard life, enjoying these things all by myself.

Ah, well, I suppose in lieu of any brave and noble souls willing to sacrifice themselves, I will endure alone.
